FAQs - TININTING, LIFITING & LAMINATION

How long should my hair be for best wax results?

If you have been shaving, allow a minimum of 2 to 3 weeks or ¼ inch of hair growth.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR WAXING?

Do not apply self tanners, lotions, body sprays, deodorants and other topical creams before your appointment.

Gently exfoliate the area 24 hours before your appointment to remove dead skin cells and allow for a cleaner wax.

Make sure you are showered and clean.

Wear comfortable clothing.

HOW BADLY IS IT GOING TO HURT?

Although everyones pain tolerance is different, waxing does get easier over time if you come regularly . Typically the first wax is worst and as your hair begins to grow back thinner, it is less painful to remove.

can i take anything to help with the pain?

Some clients find that taking an Advil or Tylenol 1 hour before their appointment helps with the pain. Please consult with a health care professional. Topical Numbing cream can also be applied 1 hour before your appointment and can be removed when you get here.

are there any special care instructions or precautions i should follow after a waxing service?

Hot tubs, saunas, working out and sexual activity (Brazilian) should be avoided for 24 hours post-wax.

For best results post-wax, exfoliate 2 to 3 times weekly (wait 24 hours post-wax) and be sure to moisturize daily.

Can I still get a wax if I have my period?

Yes! You may be more sensitive during this time but as long as you have a fresh tampon or menstrual cup in, you are good to go!

Can I get waxed if I am pregnant?

Absolutely! Your sensitivity to waxing may be higher while pregnant, especially for a Brazilian wax due to more blood flow to the vagina. This means you are more likely to lift or bruise. When pregnant you may wish to try our Brazilian half and half or the Brazilian with hard wax.

HOw long will the results last?

Waxing appointments are usually scheduled every 4-6 weeks. To see full results, it is recommended to come regularly and do not shave in between appointments.
