WHAT IS THE PREP FOR A CHEMICAL PEEL?

3 DAYS BEFORE THE APPOINTMENT….

• Avoid the following procedures: electrolysis, waxing, depilatory creams and laser hair removal

• Stop using any exfoliating products that may be drying or irritating

•Stop using products containing Salicylic Acid, Alpha Hydroxy Acids, Retinol, prescription Retinoids or Benzoyl Peroxide


WHAT TO EXPECT DURING A CHEMICAL PEEL?

  • You may experience a slight stinging sensation as the treatment activates on your skin

  • Approximately 48 hours after the treatment, your skin may peel, be red, dry and irritated

  • Skin may take on a sunburned appearance

  • Peeling and redness, if any, may last for three to five days

  • The amount of sloughing experienced will vary depending on the condition of your skin and the home care products used

  • The amount of peeling observed is not an indication of the effectiveness of the treatment


WHAT IS THE POST CARE FOR A CHEMICAL PEEL?

• The night of your treatment rinse your skin gently with water only and pat dry

• Do not rub, pick or pull your skin as scarring may result

• Avoid vigorous activities, swimming and hot showers, especially in the first 24 hours following the treatment

• Avoid harsh cleansers, washcloths, scrubs or loofahs for 48 hours following your treatment (gentle scrubs such as VivierTM Vitamin C Scrub are safe to use)

•Do not use products containing Salicylic Acid, Alpha Hydroxy Acids, Retinol, prescription Retinoids or Benzoyl Peroxide up to 48 hours following your treatment or once peeling, redness or dryness subsides


DERMAPLANING

what is dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning if a great form of exfoliation. It is the process of using a surgical stainless steel blade to remove a layer of dead skin cells and vellus hair (baby hairs) from the face.


WHAT CAN DERMAPLANING BE ADDED ONTO?

Dermaplaning can be added onto our Medical Grade Facial, Microneedling, Hydrafacial or can be performed as a stand alone express treatment.



what to expect after a dermaplaning service?

for up to 24 hours post procedure, it is normal for the face to feel tight and warm or like it has a sunburn.

Please please please where your SPF consistently for at least 2 weeks as we have removed a layer of dead skin, leaving fresh, delicate skin exposed to the sun.


Does Dermaplaning cause the hair to grow in darker and thicker?

No, this is a myth. Dermaplaning does not cause the face hairs to grow in any thinker, faster, coarser or darker. But, it also does not grow in any slowing or thinner. (you would need to wax for this outcome.) The hair will grow back the exact same as before.

What is Microneedling?

Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure that causes tiny injuries in the epidermis and dermis layer of the skin, triggering the body’s healing response. When creating wounds in the skin, it triggers the red and white blood cells to rush to the injured area, and form new collagen and elastin. The results are tighter, more youthful looking skin.


Glowing skin is always in
